Contributor Terms & Conditions

The content contributor to vancouverislandview.com agrees to create and supply material, which may include digital images, digital files, videos, and/or written content, on a first-rights basis to Vancouver Island View (vancouverislandview.com).

The content contributor hereby grants Vancouver Island View a perpetual royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, distribute, publish, republish, reproduce and store, by itself or with others, in any form or medium, including the web, social platforms, licensed material and photographs. However, credit will always be given to the contributor.

The content contributor promises that all material supplied to Vancouver Island View (vancouverislandview.com) will be the contributor’s original work unless otherwise specified, and that publication will not violate anyone else’s copyright or other rights or interests.

Vancouver Island View has the right to edit all material for publication. Neither publication nor positioning is guaranteed. All materials submitted for use on vancouverislandview.com are subject to approval. We reserve the right to reject any material or cancel the publication thereof on our website at any time.

The contributor retains copyright ownership of the material, including all print and electronic rights not expressly granted to us. Vancouver Island View (vancouverislandview.com) will make reasonable efforts to direct to the contributor any requests for permission to republish not stated under this agreement.

You will cooperate with Vancouver Island View if any complaints, claims, or litigation should arise regarding your submitted material.

If you comply and agree with the terms of this agreement, you will be entitled to any applicable coverage arising from your submitted materials.

Either of the parties may terminate this agreement at any time by notice in writing. Termination will not affect any rights granted hereunder to any previously submitted material.
