Cowichan Valley Events
Easter Eggspress
When: Saturday, April 20 – Monday, April 22 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Where: BC Forest Discover Centre – 2892 Drinkwater Road, Duncan
The BC Forest Discovery Centre expanded their Easter Eggspress to 3 days a couple of years ago for the annual Easter Scavenger Hunt for families in and visiting the Cowichan Region.
A new addition to this year’s Easter Eggspress is having Hershey’s on board with their ‘Eggies’ to add to the fun weekend that includes unlimited Green Hornet train rides, the Easter Bunny, crafts and a great educational experience. Just some of the reasons for kids of all ages to come out to the three-day event.
A special admission rate of $6 for children 3 – 12 years (2 and under are FREE) and $8 for adults/seniors/youth makes it an affordable, and a fun day for all. This year’s event is scheduled for the Saturday, Sunday, and Easter Monday from 10 am to 4 pm with Hershey Eggies being provided for children who complete the scavenger hunt. For those wanting lunch, the concession will be open for you to grab a quick bite.
Annual SFD Easter Egg Hunt
When: Sunday, April 21 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: Sahtlam Fire Department – 4384 Cowichan Lake Road, Duncan
Easter’s coming up soon and we’d like to invite all of our fine neighbours to our umpteenth Annual Easter Egg Hunt, held once again in Currie Park across the road from our fire hall on Sunday, April 21st!
This is an extremely fun and family-friendly event organized by the firefighters here at Sahtlam Fire Department. We hope you’ll come join us, and bring all of your family and friends! ????
Come meet other members of your community, set the kids free to look for easter eggs in the park and enjoy what will hopefully once again be a lovely morning!
Easter Egg Hunt
When: Saturday, April 20 at 10:00 am
Where: Fuller Lake Park (off of Poplar Road in Chemainus)
Bring the family down to Fuller Lake Park on the Easter weekend for a good old fashioned Easter egg hunt. Eggs will be hidden all over the park, and at 10:00 am the rush will be on for the kids to find the chocolate. There will be a separate area for toddlers to search for eggs.

The City of Nanaimo and Coast Capital Savings have added a special skate on Friday, April 19 from 12:15-1:45 pm at the Nanaimo Ice Centre. There just might be some chocolate to sweeten the deal ????

Easter Eggstravaganza Pool Party

Where: Beban Pool (2300 Bowen Road)
The Beban Pool is where it’s at on Easter Sunday. Don your bathing suit and join the Easter Bunny in the pool from 2:00 – 3:30.
Thanks to the Lions, this event is FREE admission! Splash on in, and gather some Easter eggs that you can redeem for prizes.
There will be aqua jousting, water running mat, water-soaked sponge throwing, inflatables, face painting and more!
Kid’s Easter Egg Hunt
When: Sunday, April 21 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Where: Nanaimo Yacht Club – 400 Newcastle Avenue
The children will first make Easter bag crafts and then hunt for eggs. The Easter bunny will be there for photos, and hotdogs will be served!



Oceanside Easter Events
Bunny Trail

Celebrate Easter in the Gardens at the annual Bunny Trail!
Pick up a map at the Welcome & Interpretive Centre with clues for the children to spot the bunnies. Return the completed map to the Pool House Gift Shop for an Easter treat!

Friends of Foster Park Easter Egg Hunt

Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Foster Park in Parksville! Featuring FREE egg hunts and entertainment for the whole family, including a musician, clown, photo booth and face painting! Egg hunts to follow food sales and entertainment.

Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast

The 17th annual Easter egg hunt and Pancake breakfast is fast approaching. Starting Sunday, April 21st, at 10 AM sharp. You must donate a mesh bag of chocolate foil eggs to add to the pot per child. Please don’t forget to bring a basket for each child as well. A pancake breakfast will be provided for a small donation of $10 per family. There will be many new faces on the farm to meet, and the Easter bunny will also be there, so don’t forget your cameras! This is a rain or shine event so please dress for the weather.

Comox Valley Events
Easter Promenade and Egg Hunt
When: Friday, April 19 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Where: Simms Millennium Park – 50 5th Street, Courtenay
Join Courtenay Recreation for their Easter Promenade and Egg Hunt on Friday, April 19 for children up to age six with an adult. This popular annual event runs from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Simms Millenium Park and is sure to be a hoppin’ good time for all.
This event features both free activities and a register in advance Easter Egg Hunt that is $8 per family.
Free activities are open to everyone with no pre-registration required. Activities include a performance by Luke the Kangaroo at 11:30 am, a Storybook walk with the Easter Bunny at 1:00 pm as well as bouncy castles, 4H Petting Zoo, Caring Clowns of the Comox Valley and face painting.
The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 1:30 pm and participants must register for it in advance as space is limited. Participants will be searching for their own specially-marked egg hidden by the Easter Bunny. The deadline to register is Monday, April 15th. Filberg Easter Bunny Trail
When: Saturday, April 20 – Sunday, April 21 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Where: Filberg Heritage Lodge & Park – 61 Filberg Road, Comox
The Filberg Lodge and Park are hippy, hoppy, happy to be hosting the 6th annual Easter Bunny Trail on Easter weekend. This free family event has been a resounding success with over 6000+ people (big and small) scouting the Easter trail throughout Filberg Park. Everyone is welcome to take part on the bunny trail or just enjoy the park with a picnic or sitting in enjoyment surrounded by beautiful gardens.
The event runs from 11 am until 3 pm so you can start any time before 2:30. The trail begins near the Summer Kitchen where you can pick up a map. When you have found all the bunnies, hand in your map and receive a small treat courtesy of John’s, Your Independent Grocer! This is a wonderful, free and relaxing event designed to get you and your family outside to enjoy the day.
The Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park Association (FHLPA) is a non-profit organization established in 1979, which has the responsibility of maintaining and restoring the heritage lodge and outbuildings in the park. All money raised by the FHLPA from membership sales, donations, special events and year-round fundraising are used for this purpose and for the operational costs associated with managing the Filberg Park for all to enjoy.
6th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza
When: Monday, April 22 from 11:30 – 2:00 pm
Where: Marina Park – 127 Port Augusta St., Comox
Join IG Wealth Management, the Town of Comox and Quality Foods for Easter family events at Marina Park. Have fun with a Free Easter egg hunt for kids 11 and under (3 age groups). Easter egg hunt starts at 12pm sharp! Lots of family games and activities including the inflatable obstacle course, face painting and a charity BBQ. Activities are from 1130 am to 2 pm with all cash donations for activities and BBQ supporting You Are Not Alone (YANA).

Baby bunnies & chicks, hay rides, collecting real, and chocolate, eggs; there is so much fun to be had at Holly Hill Farm! Take part in the animals’ feedings and help brush the horse! Take a selfie with Horatio the alpaca!
