Library

Suitable Age: Any age, but the library's virtual storytimes are most suitable for Preschool-aged children.
Locations: Nanaimo has three public libraries, and all branches offer family activities.
- The largest (and oldest) is located in the heart of the city on Diana Krall Plaza (90 Commercial Street). They offer plenty of kid-friendly activities.
- The newest one is located inside Country Club Centre near Shoppers Drug Mart (3200 N. Island Hwy)
- Another one is located in North Nanaimo at 6250 Hammond Bay Road.

I have to disagree about the North Nanaimo library being the best for kids. The Downtown library has board games, craft tables, video games and STEM toys for kids of all ages to enjoy. The North Nanaimo library doesn’t put out any toys, although they do have a colouring table.
