With years of experience, in-depth knowledge, and a deep passion for sustainable, immersive tourism, Cove Adventure Tours ensures you experience North Vancouver Island like never before.

A guided tour is essential if you’re visiting the island with a rental car, as most rental companies prohibit travel on the rugged logging roads that lead to San Josef Bay and Grant Bay. Meet Your Guide

Based in Port Hardy, Cove Adventure Tours was founded to provide safe and immersive guided experiences to remote destinations on Northern Vancouver Island. Given the region’s rugged terrain and active logging roads, their tours allow all visitors to explore breathtaking locations like San Josef Bay and Grant Bay without the hassle of navigating rough roads or worrying about car restrictions.

The company is deeply committed to environmental conservation, ensuring that every adventure follows the “pack it in, pack it out” principle to help preserve the island’s pristine beauty.

Leading these adventures is Chris, an experienced guide with a diverse background in the ski industry, sport-fishing charters and outdoor adventure tourism.

Originally from Lake Tahoe, California, he made the island his home in 2015 and started his tour company the following year. He’s passionate about surfing, paddleboarding, mountain biking and exploring Vancouver Island’s rugged landscapes.

With a wealth of local knowledge, a friendly and engaging approach, and a strong commitment to sustainability, Chris ensures that every tour is informative, safe and unforgettable.
